Bobby Allen Long, age of 89, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at his residence.

Bobby was born on December 31, 1934, in Clarksville, TN to the late Glenn Brewer Long and Myrtle Baskins Long. Bobby is also preceded in death by his wife, Ann Young Long and his
sister, Ann Long Thaxton.

Bobby is survived by his sons, Rob (Ruthann) Long, Joey (Lisa) Long, and Jeff (Mary) Long; Grandchildren, Christina, Robby, Hannah, Tyler, Hanley, Taylor, and Josh; Great grandchildren, Elijah, Emma, Lucas, Joshua, Christopher, and William.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Visitation will be on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at
Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 716 Franklin Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.

A Clarksville native, Bobby attended Clarksville High School from 1951-1954 and served as a tour guide at Dunbar Cave State Park. After graduation, he served in the United States Air
Force from 1954-1958 and was stationed in San Antonio, Texas as a Drill Instructor – where he married his loving wife, Ann Long. He was later transferred to Fort Campbell, KY where he
finished out the rest of his military duties.

In 1958, Bobby started Long Construction Company and focused on waterline and sewer installations in Montgomery, Stewart, Dickson, and Robertson County. While owning and
operating the business, Bobby attended Austin Peay State University and graduated in 1972 with this Bachelor of Science and later graduated with his Master of Arts in Education in 1973.
Bobby sold Long Construction Company and taught World History at Burt while working as a real estate appraiser at Buckner Real Estate. In 1979, Bobby started Long Real Estate/Appraisals by Long, and the business is still locally owned and operated in Clarksville.

Bobby fueled growth in his community by completing and inspecting over 8,000 appraisals in Tennessee and Kentucky and teaching new brokers the skills and expertise of residential and
commercial real estate. Bobby served as the President of the Board of Realtors, President of MLS, participated as various Chairman of Committees on the Clarksville Board of Realtors and worked for the Montgomery County Election Commission for the past 20 years during local, state, and national elections.

Mr. Long loved to spend time with his family, travel with his beautiful and fun wife, spectate his sons and granddaughter playing golf, watch (and bet) on the NFL and NCAA football, and visit the horse tracks. He proudly stood on the value of a family legacy and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Pallbearers include Robby Long, Tyler Long, Jeff Young, Mark Young, Tal Powers, and Randall Matthews.
