Bob Shoulta, age 84, of Clarksville, passed away Monday, December 5, 2016, at Signature Healthcare.
Bob was born September 22, 1932, in Paducah, KY, to the late William H. Shoulta and Lyda Shaffer Shoulta. Mr. Shoulta retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, and he worked for 13 years as Lab Courier for Premier Medical Group, where he was affectionately known as “Mr. Bob.” Bob was a member of First Baptist Church of Clarksville, where he was a deacon emeritus.
Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, December 8, at 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Dr. Roger Freeman and Dr. Larry Riley officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 7, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, and Thursday, December 8, from 12:00 PM until the hour of service, at the funeral home.
Bob is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bettye McBride Shoulta; son, Bill (Jill) Shoulta of Louisville, KY; daughter, Lisa (Keith) Hester of Clarksville; brother, John Shoulta of White Plains, KY; four grandchildren, Jeremy (Valarie) Shoulta, Joshua (Natalie) Shoulta, Lauren (Bobby) Henderson, and Molly Shoulta (Rob) Tucker; and three great grandchildren, Maggie Shoulta, Macy Shoulta, and Claira Beth Henderson.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Shoulta, Joshua Shoulta, Bobby Henderson, Rob Tucker, Larry Davis, and Shane Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of First Baptist Church of Clarksville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Clarksville Building Fund, 435 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.
