CROFTON, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Bluegrass at Burdoc, a homegrown music festival started in 2017, will return for a second year August 10-12, 2018.
Set on a picturesque 700-acre family farm, the festival offers primitive camping, spectacular views and family- friendly entertainment spread out over three days.
This year’s lineup includes local talent on Friday night and Bluegrass bands on Saturday with the The Cleverlys headlining. Also performing: Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, NewTown, Turning Ground, NightFlyer, Mikaya Taylor and the Stephens Family Tradition.
The event has expanded to three days in 2018 and features a unique blend of Americana, progressive bluegrass, and traditional bluegrass.
There will also be a Kids Zone with face painting, yard games, chalk art and a splash play area.
“We are very excited to extend Bluegrass at Burdoc to a three day festival in 2018,” said Sara Shepherd, Owner of Burdoc Farms. “We had such positive and amazing feedback from fans and performers from the inaugural year. They had a great time and were looking forward to the event returning. We are happy to grow the festival to three days in year two. We will have something for fans of all ages!”
Campsite reservations are currently being accepted and are $10 for the weekend, including water. Tickets are on sale now and are $20 for Friday night, $40 for Saturday or $50 for a weekend pass.
Holiday Burger, Riv’s Fishshack, Fire & Ice, Heathers Ice Cream and Kona Ice will be on-site during the event with and Casey Jones Distillery will have Moonshine Popsicles for sale. There will be a limited quantity of Bluegrass at Burdoc official merchandise for sale.
