NASHVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Two legislators have introduced a bill that would eliminate the sales tax on diapers in Tennessee.
The bill is sponsored by Sen. Brenda Gilmore and Rep. John Ray Clemmons.
The text of the bill says:
“Taxes, Sales – As introduced, eliminates the sales tax on diapers. – Amends TCA Title 67, Chapter 6, Part 3.”
The bill will be heard in the Finance, Ways, and Means Subcommittee Monday.
