CLARKSVILLE, TN − Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarksville gave local youth a summer to remember with a series of activities that brought Littles, their families, and mentors together for laughter, learning and lasting memories.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarksville kicked off the summer with a night of games and laughter at City Forum, Tennessee’s largest indoor family entertainment center. Thanks to the generosity of City Forum, Littles and their mentors enjoyed an evening of complimentary game play in their arcade.
Next, Big Brothers Big Sisters partnered with the Nashville Predators Foundation for an unforgettable experience at the Ford Ice Center. Littles and their families were treated to lunch, followed by a beginner-friendly ice-skating session. After lacing up their skates and receiving a short coaching session, the Littles hit the ice. Each participant left with a set of Predators-themed shirts, gloves, and socks, ensuring both warm hearts and toes.
The summer celebrations wrapped up with a festive Back-to-School Splash Party at Providence Pool, a private event that let Littles swim, connect, and cool off before heading back to the classroom. Each child received a backpack filled with school supplies, setting them up for success in the new school year. This event was made possible by the incredible support of local partners including C&D Tools and Storage (venue sponsor), Champions Community Christian Church (food sponsor), and both the Clarksville Sunset Rotary Club and Clarksville Rotary Club, who provided the backpacks and supplies.
“These events are more than just fun—they help build strong, consistent relationships between Bigs and Littles,” said Sandra Brandon, Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarksville. “We’re so grateful for our community partners who believe in the power of mentorship and make these memories possible.”
As Clarksville’s oldest youth-serving nonprofit, Big Brothers Big Sisters remains dedicated to inspiring potential and changing lives through one-on-one mentoring relationships.
