CLARKSVILLE, TN – Clarksville came alive with the spirit of giving as Big Brothers Big Sisters hosted their annual Bowl for Kid’s Sake fundraiser, transforming the lanes into a tropical paradise for their “Luau on the Lanes” themed event. Over two days of spirited bowling and community camaraderie, the organization shattered previous records, raising an impressive sum of over $40,000 to support their mentoring programs.

The festivities kicked off on March 18 with the Banker’s Challenge, a day dedicated to local financial institutions who stepped up to sponsor teams and vie for victory on the lanes. Bankers and financial professionals donned their bowling shoes and Hawaiian shirts in a friendly competition for a meaningful cause. Their efforts didn’t go unnoticed, with each strike and spare adding to the grand total raised for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarksville.

On March 24, the lanes opened to the entire community for a day of fun-filled bowling. Families, friends, and supporters from all walks of life came together to celebrate the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters and make a difference in the lives of local youth. The “Luau on the Lanes” theme set the stage for a tropical escape, complete with Hawaiian shirts, leis, and colorful decorations that transported participants from the lanes of Clarksville to the shores of paradise.

More than 50 teams, including some teams made up of Bigs and Littles in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, laced up their bowling shoes and took to the lanes with enthusiasm, embracing the friendly competition while keeping the focus on the bigger picture – providing mentorship and guidance to children in need. With each strike and gutter ball, the community displayed their support for Big Brothers Big Sisters, proving that when we come together, we can make a significant impact on the lives of others.

“The outpouring of support from the Clarksville community has been truly inspiring,” said Sandra Brandon Moss, Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarksville. “From our dedicated sponsors to the families who joined us for a day of bowling, everyone played a part in making this fundraiser a tremendous success. We are so grateful for how the community continues to embrace our mission, and we’re looking forward to our next set of events, so keep an eye on our website and social media for the exciting things coming over the next few months.”
