The #BeLikeBrock Memorial Golf Tournament and Silent Auction will be held Friday, October 5 at 11 a.m.
Participants can choose to play at the River Club Golf and Learning Center or the Clarksville Country Club.
The event will celebrate the life of Brock Blick while raising money for the Brock Blick Fund of Excellence, which provides a scholarship for Austin Peay State University agriculture students and helps fund the agriculture department.
Brock was killed in a tragic hunting accident in 2017 at the age of 11. His parents, Jeri and Mark Blick, created the scholarship fund and golf tournament to honor his memory and make each day the “Best Day Ever” – a phrase Brock often used.
His parents said Brock was a spirited boy who loved to spend time outdoors with his family.
“He learned several life lessons while hunting and fishing with his family and friends. It was also the fuel that helped spark his interest in cows,” the Blicks said.
It was his passion for agriculture and his positive energy that inspired the Blicks to create the #BeLikeBrock campaign. You can learn more about Brock’s story on the Blick family’s website.
Teams of four can participate in the golf tournament for $600 and individual players can sign up for $150. Registration and payment is available through the #BeLikeBrock website. Be sure to include an email address and phone number.
Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, live music, silent and live auctions, and dinner at the Clarksville Country Club (334 Fairway Drive) following the tournament.
Silent auction items will be displayed around the dinner location (Country Club). Participants can bid on silent auction items from 6-7:30 p.m. Bid sheets will be displayed with each item along with starting bid and any background info.
The live auction begins at 7:30 p.m. Those who wish to participate can provide information at the registration table and will receive an auction card for bidding.
All auction items include letter of authenticity.
