Funeral services for Beverly McGehee King, age 80, of Chapmansboro, TN, will be Sunday, October 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Sykes Funeral Home with Charles Roney officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and again on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. She will be laid to rest at Mallory Cemetery in Chapmansboro, TN.
Beverly was born on May 4, 1942, in Todd County, KY, to Lucian and Marie McGehee who preceded her in death. She passed on October 6, 2022. Beverly retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority-Cumberland City after 30 years and was a member of the Stroudsville Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John Wayne King; children: Lyndsey (Lemmie) Gower, Jayne-Ann (Brian) Stratton, and Jonathan (Abbey) King; grandchildren: Mason Stratton, Casey Gower, Madison (Coty) Coles, Sydney Gower, and Kingsley Stratton; and great-grandchildren, Brady Adler and Barrett Stratton.
