A Celebration of Life service for Betty Jane Pirtle, age 87, of Finger, TN, will be Monday, December 12, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery West where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Charles D. Pirtle. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Betty was born in St. Louis, MO on August 7, 1935, to Arthur and Helen Criger who preceded her in death. She was a member of Siwell Road Church of Christ in Jackson, MS and enjoyed teaching Bible classes, and traveling. Betty loved spending time with her family and taking care of them whenever she could.
She is survived by her children: Pamela Brown, Charles A. (Jeanne) Pirtle, Dawn (Ernest) Schmidt, and Laurie Pirtle; grandchildren: Jessica Smith, David Smith, Luke Pirtle, Kathy Barrick, Kim Paige, Cody Schmidt, and Ethan Schmidt; and 5 great-grandchildren.
