CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The 19th annual March of Dimes “Best of Clarksville” event, held Thursday October 2, raised over $76,000 from tickets sales, booth sales, and donations.

The sponsors of the event were treated to a “sponsor dinner” on Friday, where Justin Grant, BOC committee chairman, presented a check to Katie Tucker, Community Director for March of Dimes in the amount of $76,585.13.

The Best of Clarksville is an annual event where the public can nominate businesses in several categories, (i.e. best restaurant, best place for family fun, etc.) and those nominated attend the event and the public votes on their favorite to see who wins the “Best of Clarksville”.

The proceeds from the event go the March of Dimes and all monies collected remain in the local area. The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects and infant mortality.
