Bessie Mae Bracy, age 93, of Clarksville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Signature Healthcare.
She was born in Springfield, TN, to the late Ferd Hackney and Jocie Rawls Hackney. Bessie was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Bracy; and three brothers, Charles J. Hackney, Emmett P. Hackney, and Robert L. Hackney.
Mrs. Bracy was retired from Fort Campbell, having worked for the Civil Service for 32 years.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 3 at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Dwight Bennison officiating. Burial will follow at Robertson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, May 2 and from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
Bessie is survived by her son, Bobby L. Bracy (Teresa), of Clarksville; two grandchildren, Christy Pennington (Chris), of Nolensville, TN, and Lori Wargo (Scott), of Clarksville; and five great grandchildren, Kiersten Bracy, Bryce Wargo, Sophie Fields, Piper Pennington, and Paisley Pennington.
