Bessie “Betty” Paul Doty, 92, of Clarksville, TN, died on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Spring Meadows Healthcare.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m until 11 a.m. on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at noon on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Rev. Steve Lannom officiating.
She was born on July 18, 1923, in Fayetteville, NC, daughter of the late Vance Paul and Lynie Deese Paul. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Doty; son, James Howard Smith; brothers, John Paul and William Paul; and sisters, Eva Jones and Ella Hackett.
Bessie, known by friends and family as Betty, spent numerous years abroad with her military husband, Ray. Settling back in Clarksville, she enjoyed 34 years as a Mary Kay Cosmetics Consultant, where she was named star consultant nearly every quarter. Betty loved the opportunities her consultant job gave her to connect with friends.
Betty is survived by her sister, Gincy Boone; two grandsons, Bryan Smith and Jay Smith; great-granddaughter, Jersey Smith; several nieces and nephews; and close friends, Carolyn Riggins and Pat Talley.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the caring staff at Spring Meadows Healthcare for the exceptional care given to Ms. Doty.
