Bernice Waynick, age 91 of Clarksville passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Gateway Medical Center.
Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
The Funeral Service was at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Sykes funeral home chapel with Rev. Bobby Kail officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2014, and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday, December 12, 2014 at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Wilee’s Chapel UMC Cemetery.
Mrs. Waynick was born in Montgomery County on February 15, 1923 to the late Thomas William and Mary Beard Wallace. She was also preceded in death by son, Perry Eugene Wallace; brother, J.D. Wallace; sisters, Pauline McKeehan, Mattie Mohon, Margaret Knowles and grandson, Bryan Andrew Waynick.
She was a homemaker and a member of Crossland Avenue Baptist Church.
She is survived by children, George (Beverly) Waynick, Thomas (Debbie) Waynick, Minerva (Lucian) Wyatt, Larry (Eva) Waynick, Brenda (Milton) Ledbetter; sisters, Marie Evans, LaVerne Weakley, Virginia Wolard; Helen (Larry) Fortino; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Brandon Waynick, Gerald Waynick, Mark Waynick, Larry Dale Waynick, Matthew Waynick, Josh Waynick and Adam Wallace.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Crossland Avenue Baptist Church, 502 Crossland Avenue, Clarksville, TN 37040.
