CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Participants of all fitness levels are invited to join in the Clarksville BBQ Bash on Saturday, Oct. 20 to run or walk a course at Liberty Park and grab a taste of beer and barbecue at the finish line.
Each participant will receive an event T-shirt and finish with a full belly. Runners are encouraged to make a day of it and stay for the Clarksville BBQ Bash activities.
Online registration can be completed at www.CityofClarksville.com/BBQBash. In-person registration is available from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday at Clarksville Parks & Recreation, 102 Public Square, Downtown Clarksville. Register by Sept. 30 to receive the discounted rate of $30 for adults and $10 for children (ages 12 and under). After Sept. 30, the fee will increase $5 for adults. Race-day registration will be available but the fee will increase to $40 for adults and $15 for children.
The Clarksville BBQ Bash is free to the public and will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 20 at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center at Liberty Park, 1188 Cumberland Drive.
Participating teams from near and far will compete for cash and to see who has the best BBQ. Attendees can enjoy a football viewing party, sponsored by CDE Lightband, a Kids Zone, cornhole tournament and local artisan vendors. Barbecue and beer will be available for purchase.
