CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville-based Camp Rainbow continues its biggest fundraiser of the year February 15 during the Beaver 100.3 Camp Rainbow Radiothon.

The two day event, with presenting sponsor Toyota of Hopkinsville, includes on-air appeals, interviews with children, counselors, and organizers of Camp Rainbow as well as sponsors. Listeners are encouraged to call in and become Dream Makers with their donations.

Camp Rainbow is a week-long summer camp held in June for children with special medical situations that keep them from attending other summer camps.

The event is free for attendees and provides activities, specially trained counselors, and medical support staff to allow the children to enjoy a fun-filled camp with all the necessary support.

All of the proceeds raised during the radiothon will support Camp Rainbow.

“The radiothon has been a blessing,” said Camp Rainbow’s Jeremy Miner. “It’s a week that they get to be normal. Nobody’s going to pick on them or make fun of them. Wigs come off and everybody just has fun.”
