CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Parks & Recreation will host two basketball programs in the coming weeks. Twilight Basketball is meant for adults 18 and older, and the Youth Basketball League is open to boys and girls ages 7 to 15.

Twilight Basketball will be held at the Kleeman Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, on Fridays October 17-December 29 from 5 to 10 p.m.

Teams and individuals are encouraged to register now through October 3 for this 8-week league. Teams will consist of 7 players. Online registration is available at recpro.cityofclarksville.com. Twilight Basketball will end in playoff and championship rounds. During halftime, teams will be motivated by guest speakers.

Cost to play is $350 per team of 7 or $60 if you sign up as an individual to be placed on a team.

The cost for the Youth Basketball League $65 per player. Each player will receive a jersey, water bottle and award.

Registration for the league continues through October 6. Registration is available online at recpro.cityofclarksville.com. Registration is also available at the Kleeman, Crow and Burt Cobb Community Centers, as well as at the Parks & Recreation Main Office located at 102 Public Square. The Main Office is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Registrants must bring their birth certificate for age verification if they are registering for this program for the first time.

Practices will be held at local school gymnasiums beginning November 3 and games will be held at the City’s three community centers beginning December 6. Parents should be contacted by their coach prior to the start of games to let them know where and when their child will practice.

Parks & Recreation is seeking Youth League coaches and will offer coaches’ training on October 14 and 16 at 6 p.m. at Freedom Point at Liberty Park. All interested coaches may contact Athletic Coordinator, Albert Casillas, at the Parks & Recreation Main Office.
