CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville Police talked a barricaded man out of a house after several hours of negotiation Friday afternoon.
At about 8:30 a.m., police got a tip that Frederick Dewayne Gross Jr. of Madison, who has several warrants on file, was in a residence in the 130 block of E Street in New Providence, according to police spokesman Detective Mike Patterson.
Police made contact with Gross, but he refused to come out.
The CPD Crisis Negotiation and Tactical Unit teams, along with other officers and detectives, responded to the scene.
After several hours of negotiations, Gross was taken into custody without injury at around 1:30 p.m., Patterson said.
Gross, 33, has multiple warrants on file in Clarksville, Nashville and Atlanta, including for armed robbery, carjacking and aggravated assault of a police officer.
He was booked into Montgomery County Jail.
