Barbara Jean Travis Brown peacefully went into Jesus’ arms Monday July, 12, 2021 with her beloved daughters, Regina and Stacy, by her side.

She was born in Clarksville on November 16, 1955. She graduated from Clarksville High School in 1973 then graduated from Austin Peay State University in 1977. Barbara was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, and she loved the Lord.

Barbara enjoyed Clarksville National Girls Softball, reading a good novel, bowling, putting up Christmas lights, Tennessee Vols and Tennessee Titans football and was a fan of Peyton Manning. Her world revolved around her two daughters, Regina (Chris) Hampton and Stacy (Zach) Boutieller, and her grandchildren, Kaelyn, Caleb, Andrew, Dylan and Heath.

Through her many devoted years at Mericourt Park with Clarksville National Girls Softball, she touched many young lady’s lives. She worked tirelessly for the girls she coached and the girls that came through that park, knowing the game of softball was more than a game. She loved all the girls she came across in her 30 years at Mericourt and was proud of each one of them and the women they became.

She joins in Heaven her mother and best friend, Margie Travis (Hiney), and her beloved father, Arthur Gene Travis. She leaves to cherish her memories her proudest accomplishment, Regina and Stacy; her grandchildren; sister, Ann Elliott (William), and many friends and extended family.

Memorial services for Barbara will be conducted on Friday July 16 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, 2204 Jarrell Ridge Road Clarksville, TN. Brother Adam Brown and Brother John Richardson will officiate. Visitation will be on Thursday July 15 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church and again from 11 a.m. until the time of services on Friday at the church.
