Barbara J. Hodges, age 59, of Clarksville, passed away Monday, October 19, 2015, at Gateway Medical Center.
Barbara was born March 22, 1956, in Montgomery County, TN, to the late Julian “Tiny” Karnes and Betty Underwood Karnes.
Mrs. Hodges was a house manager for Sunrise Communities.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 22, at 3:30 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Akins officiating. Burial will follow in Baggett’s Chapel Cemetery, in Cunningham. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 21, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, and Thursday, October 22, from 11:00 AM until the time of service, at the funeral home.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Tommy Hodges; four brothers, Danny Karnes of Cumberland Furnace, TN, Mike Karnes of Clarksville, Clyde Karnes of Cumberland Furnace, TN, and Ronnie Underwood of Ohio; three sisters, Lynne Stites and Helen Black, both of Cumberland Furnace, TN, and Patricia Tuberville of Cunningham, TN; 49 nieces and nephews; and 38 great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Matt Taylor, Josh Taylor, Jermie Wickham, Jason Karnes, Brent Saunders, and Brian Stites.
