CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Local bankers gathered at the Pinnacle Event Center for the annual Bankers Challenge Bowl For Kids Sake, an event benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarksville.
The Bankers Challenge celebrated its 44th year in the community. The organization is also marking 50 years of serving Clarksville this year. Lee Erwin, a board member with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarksville, said the Bankers Challenge has become one of the organization’s largest annual fundraisers. “All of the money raised in the Bankers Challenge will go to help at-risk youth in Clarksville, Montgomery County and surrounding areas,” Erwin said.

Legends Bank was recognized as this year’s Bankers Challenge winner after raising $7,665, the highest amount among the participating banks. Tamera Batiste, human resources officer at Legends Bank, said supporting the event is part of the bank’s ongoing effort to give back to the community.
Batiste said each Legends Bank branch took on its own fundraising challenge to help contribute to the event and explained that the event gives participating banks an opportunity to come together while supporting local youth. “We have so much fun every year at this,” she said.
The Bankers Challenge is one of several fundraising efforts supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarksville, which provides mentoring and other support to young people in the community.
