CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – In celebration of their grand opening, The Axe Throwing Place joined the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce with a ribbon cutting ceremony held Friday, October 18, at their location on Fire Station Road near exit 11.

Visitors to The Axe Throwing Place can rent one or more lanes by the hour to throw hand axes at wall mounted targets. Owner Henry Walker and his employees will be on hand for instructions, demonstration, and help setting up games and tournaments for groups.

Walker hopes his new establishment will be a place for the community to come together.

“This is going to be a gathering place for Clarksville,” said Walker. “We are going to open up to the community. This is just the opening step for where we want to go.”

The Axe Throwing Place hopes to work closely with community outreach groups like Operation Wounded Warrior, Team Red, White & Blue and The Boss Program to benefit Clarksville. Walker also plans to invite groups to hold bible studies at The Axe Throwing Place.

The Axe Throwing Place is located at 592 Fire Station Road Suite B, behind Huddle House. They are open Tuesday-Thursday from 4-10 p.m. and Friday & Saturday from noon-10 p.m.. For more information, visit them on Facebook or at their website.
