CLARKSVILLE, TENN. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Austin’s Beauty College is one of the latest businesses to become a member of the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce.
Chandra Guthrie, Public Relations Director, said Austin’s is a family-owned business founded by J.T. Austin in 1968.
Austin’s is an accredited school offering financial aid, government grants, VA, MYCAA, and they have special financing for students that are not able to get regular financing.
Guthrie added she wanted clients to know they offer full-service. Whenever a customer comes in and gets services done by students they are supervised under all of the teachers which include both the esthetics and cosmetology departments.
“What makes us different from the other schools is we’re a Pivot Point Legacy School, that’s are curriculum we use, it’s an art-based curriculum using color, form, and texture, just like if you were a painter painting a portrait, but you design it on hair, said Linda Austin.
Guthrie added they also do everything they can to help their students find jobs before they graduate.
Austin’s Beauty College is at 585-A S. Riverside Drive and is open from 8:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. They begin taking clients at 10 a.m. each day.
