CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – March Madness is finally here and for Austin Peay’s men’s basketball team, their postseason journey begins tomorrow night with a home game against North Florida University in the ASUN tournament quarterfinals.

The Governors are going into ASUN tournament play with a 17-14 overall record (10-6 in conference play) and are currently one of the hottest teams in the conference. Austin Peay has won seven out of their last eight games and during that time frame, APSU has averaged around 85 points per game.

Austin Peay has played one head-to-head game against North Florida during the 2023-24 season and the game went to double overtime where the Governors captured a 95-91 win. During the game, the Govs had three players score in double figures: Sai Witt (30 points), Dezi Jones (22 points) and Ja’Monta Black (21 points), according to APSU Athletics.

Here is the complete schedule as APSU men’s basketball looks to win their way into the NCAA tournament.

First Round, Monday, March 4 at 7 p.m. ET:

  • (9) Kennesaw State vs. (10) Jacksonville.
  • (7) Florida Gulf Coast vs. (8) Queens.

Quarterfinals, Tuesday March 5 at 7 p.m.:

  • (1) Eastern Kentucky vs. the winner of Kennesaw State/Jacksonville.
  • (4) Austin Peay vs. (5) North Florida.
  • (2) Stetson vs. the winner of Florida Gulf Coast/Queens.
  • (3) Lipscomb vs. (6) North Alabama.

Following the quarterfinals, the ASUN semifinals will be played on Thursday, March 7, where the highest remaining seed will play the lowest remaining seed, and the second highest remaining seed will play the second lowest remaining seed.

As for the ASUN men’s basketball championship, the game will be played at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, a week before Selection Sunday.
