The Governors aren’t only ranked as the best offensive team in the Atlantic Sun Conference, but the team is ranked as one of the best in the nation. They rank in the NCAA top 5 of statistical categories such as batting average, hits, doubles and home runs, according to NCAA.com.

With the success Austin Peay is having in the batter’s box, the Governors currently sit in fourth place in the Atlantic Sun conference with a record of 9-6. However, they’re only one game back from a five-way tie for first place. Stetson University, Kennesaw State, Florida Gulf Coast and Jacksonville University all have compiled a conference record of 10-5 up to this point in the season.

On Tuesday, April 16, Austin Peay will play Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro at 6 p.m., before beginning a 3-game series at Florida Gulf Coast.
