Augusta Hunt Fabrizi, our beautiful mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, left this world peacefully Thursday, June 4, 2015, surrounded by family and caregivers.
Augusta was born February 21, 1926 in Clarksville, TN, to Sadie Augusta Hunt and William Finis Hunt. She was the first of six children. She was married to Michael Joseph Fabrizi on May 26, 1946, in Port Chester, NY.
She and Mickey returned to Clarksville shortly after their marriage and raised their three daughters here. Augusta was a retired bookkeeper with the Clarksville-Montgomery County Board of Education. She enjoyed her retirement being close to family in Clarksville, and in Spring Hill, FL during the winter months.
Augusta is survived by her three daughters, Cecilia (John) Sharp, Mary Michael (Mike) Evans, and Angela Fabrizi (Frank Atkins); grandchildren, Joann, Michael, Christopher, and William Sharp, Gina Evans Frazier, Wil Evans, and Trevor Atkins; great-grandchildren, Fia and Tazio Sharp, and Madison, Cecilia and Sophie Grace Frazier; sisters, Judy Pryor and Janet Massey; brother, Joe Hunt; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Hunt; and sister, Sally Williams.
Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 14 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff of Fieldstone Place, Avalon Hospice, and Right at Home for their loving care.
