Ashby Allen Joynes, age 72, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023.
Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Bethel Community Church, 1885 Tiny Town Road, Clarksville, TN with Pastor Richard Dixon officiating.
Burial and US Military Honors will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
Ashby entered this life on October 24, 1950, in N. Hampton, Virginia to the late Allen and Ora Lee Joynes. He was a Veteran of The United States Army, in which he honorably served from 1973 to 1990. During those years, he was awarded food service honors, best mess citations, and shooting range expert honors. Ashby later went on to work and retire from Wal-Mart, where he was employed for 18 years. He enjoyed flea markets, yard sales, spending time with his family, and fellowship at Bethel Community Church, where he was a member and Mason.
Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Pamela Kay Joynes; children, Robin Colagrosso, Regina Owens, Charles Bray, and Allen Joynes; nine grandsons, and one great-granddaughter.
