CLARKSVILLE, TN − ArtLink Clarksville is thrilled to announce the installation of a brand-new “ArtLink to Go” box at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on March 1, at 11 am to celebrate this addition, designed to inspire creativity and foster community engagement.

The “ArtLink to Go” box will be an extension of the beloved Free Little Library, offering children free art supplies and creative kits. By providing easy access to artistic materials, this initiative aims to encourage artistic expression and make creativity accessible to all children in our community.

“We believe that art has the power to inspire and bring people together,” said Maria Haycraft, founder of ArtLink Clarksville. “Our goal with the ‘ArtLink to Go’ boxes are to make creativity more accessible and to support local artists and budding creators in our community.”

Community members of all ages are invited to join the ribbon-cutting ceremony, which will feature:

  • Free art initiative projects: Local artists with ArtLink Clarksville will provide free art projects for attendees to participate in, making art for other initiatives in our community.
  • Information table: Artsville Clarksville volunteers will be available to provide information about the “ArtLink to Go boxes and all other Artsville Clarksville initiatives, offerings, and how you can get involved.

This initiative is made possible through the generous support of Kim Cargill and Karissa Poe who have organized and helped with planning of this initiative. The “ArtLink to Go” boxes will be maintained by community volunteers and will be regularly stocked with new supplies, thanks to donations from local businesses and residents which will be led by Kim.
