CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – One man has been arrested in a shooting that injured one person early Sunday morning at La Mansion Club at 1191 Fort Campbell Blvd.
According to a news release from the Clarksville Police Department, about a dozen people were on the scene when police arrived at 4 a.m. EMS transported an adult male who had been shot in the chest inside the nightclub. He is listed in critical condition at Vanderbilt Hospital.
Crime scene investigators remained on the scene for several hours to work on leads in the case. Less than seven hours after the shooting, officers had a suspect in custody in the 100 block of Darlene Dr.
Wilfredo Torres, 28, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. He is being held in the Montgomery County Jail on a $175,000 bond.
Information about a motive in the crime has not been released.
