CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Local law enforcement has made their first arrest in connection with the November 15 home invasion turned homicide on Dandelion Drive in Clarksville.
The Clarksville Police Department’s Special Operations Unit has been working around-the-clock in connection with district detectives and patrol officers.
On Saturday, November 16, police were actively searching for George Northington and Richard “Kenny” Woodson in connection with the deadly home invasion. Northington later turned himself into the police.
George Northington, 34, has been booked and charged with Criminal Homicide in the death of Deontrea Milligan, 33. Milligan was a resident of Dandelion Drive and pronounced deceased at the scene.
While searching the crime scene, patrol also discovered another body inside the residence. A man was found dressed in dark clothing covering his body including his hands and face. The man was later identified as Nicoli Jefferies, 37. Jefferies is a known associate of Northington.
A cell phone was located at the crime scene, where the altercation occurred. Police believed one of the suspects may have dropped the phone. Upon further investigation, it was found the phone belonged to George Northington and was in operation just before, and following, the home invasion.
Police are still trying to locate Richard Woodson. Woodson, 34, is 5’11” and 173 lbs. He currently has three aggravated assault warrants on file, unrelated to the homicide investigation.
