CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A video circulating on social media showing a man being arrested in front of an area Wal-mart was linked shoplifting and puncturing frozen food items.
Clarksville Police responded to a guest unwanted call Saturday evening at the Wal-mart on Fort Campbell Boulevard. When they arrived a man who had allegedly shoplifted a drink was pointed out to officers.
Police said the man, identified as Nakietha Lendell Gallion, had also been inside of the store puncturing frozen food items.
When he exited the store and was being detained, he began to resist and assumed a fighting posture. Once additional officers arrived, he was taken in custody. He did not have a knife in his possession or ever brandish a knife at officers or bystanders.
When he was being processed into the jail, a diamond ring from Walmart was found in his possession.
Gallion, is charged with shoplifting and resisting arrest. He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
