ORIGINAL STORY:
Detective Rodney Lifsey with the Clarksville Police Department is investigating a Felony Theft of Property/Aggravated Assault case and is requesting public assistance in identifying the suspects.

On Dec. 8 at 5:25 p.m., officers responded to an aggravated assault call at JC Penney on Wilma Rudolph Blvd.

Police said after an unidentified black female had stolen a felony amount of clothing, she was confronted by the Loss Prevention Specialists (LPs) outside of the store.

While the LPs attempted to place the female in custody, a white sedan pulled up with its lights off and an unidentified black male exited the vehicle to assist the female. The female subject allegedly yelled to the male driver, “Get the gun… shoot em!”

The male retrieved a silver handgun from inside the vehicle, ran to the rear of the car, and pointed the gun at the LPs. Both suspects entered the vehicle and fled the scene.

Detective Lifsey was able to provide a still image of the female suspect. The male is approximately 5’6″ with short, twisted braids. He was wearing a dark ball cap and jacket.

The vehicle was described as possibly a white Honda with Florida tags.
