A Celebration of Life service for Arelene Joan Murphy, age 77 of Lewisville, TX will be Saturday, February 15, 2020, at 1:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home. Arelene passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2020. She was born on November 15, 1942, in Rockville Centre, NY to Frederick and Helen Havner Christensen. She enjoyed gardening, ceramics, crocheting, and shopping.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Aaron Murphy, Sr. and brothers, Christopher and Russell Christensen. She is survived by her son, Lloyd(Kris) Murphy, Jr.; grandchildren: Rachelle Phifer, Amanda Murphy, and Brendan Murphy; and great-granddaughter, Amara Phifer-Moore.
