CLARKSVILLE, TN – Athletes from Track & Field United turned in strong performances and multiple personal records at the Adidas Indoor Track Nationals in Virginia Beach March 20-22.

Nijah Johnson recorded a personal best in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.59 seconds. In the long jump, Courtney Weyand placed 22nd out of 64 competitors with a distance of 16 feet, 8.75 inches.

The boys elite 4×400-meter relay team of Matthew Mercer, Graison Gafford, Kyler Allen and Kreid Smith finished second in their heat and 20th overall out of 51 teams. The group also set a personal record with a time of 3:29.23.

In the boys elite 1,600-meter sprint medley, Mercer, Allen, Gafford and Ayden Coley placed 15th with a time of 3:46.94.

The athletes compete for Track & Field United and are coached by Forika McDougald, Fawn McDougald and Deangela Forte.
