CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Austin Peay football will kick off the Division I collegiate football season on Saturday, Aug. 29, at 8 p.m. against Central Arkansas in Montgomery, Alabama.
The “Week Zero” contest will be the first FCS game played this fall, with the Governors traveling to take on the Bears in the Guardian Credit Union Kickoff.
Notably, the matchup will take place at the historic Cramton Bowl and be televised nationally live on ESPN.
Earlier this week, Austin Peay saw its 2020 contest against East Tennessee postponed after the Southern Conference announced the postponement of all fall sports due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
That leaves Austin Peay with just two total games on their fall non-conference slate, including the FCS Kickoff game and their Saturday, Sept. 19, meeting at Cincinnati.
