CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Austin Peay State University hosted a ribbon cutting for the Stone, Rudolph & Henry Govs Gallery, Friday, April 23.

The gallery is in the second-floor lobby of the Kimbrough Building. Stone, Rudolph & Henry recently made a gift to the APSU College of Business as part of a partnership to promote future student success by providing the resources, faculty, and staff needed to continue their high-quality instruction.

Mickey Hepner, dean of the APSU College of Business, said the gallery was an important step in creating the right environment for students.

“Educational research indicates the creation of high quality informal learning spaces such as this are just as important to improving educational outcome as the creation of the formal learning spaces such as the classroom,” Hepner said.

Austin Peay President Michael Licari thanked Stone, Rudolph & Henry for their dedication.

“This space is going to give out students an area to collaborate with one another, to share innovative ideas, bounce things around outside the classroom environment. To grow and learn as business students, as future community leaders and future corporate leaders,” Licari said.

Tom Henry, managing principal of Stone, Rudolph & Henry, said the Govs Gallery is just one more step in their partnership with Austin Peay, and they hope for a continued long-term relationship.

Henry highlighted their internship program with the university that has been going on for many years with a number of accounting and marketing interns moving on to be hired by the accounting and consulting firm.
