CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Austin Peay State University began administering the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday, March 2.

APSU’s nursing faculty and students are administering the vaccine following Tennessee’s phased vaccination plan. And anyone who wants to receive the vaccine at the university can sign up for an appointment through this link.

Michael Kasitz, assistant vice president for Public Safety at Austin Peay said, “We’re helping out our community by opening up a point of distribution for the COVID vaccine and it’s extremely important.”

The vaccine is being administered at a drive-thru vaccination site in parking lot 11, at the corner of University Avenue and Main Street in downtown Clarksville, next to the Ard Building. Entrance into the parking lot is only available from Main Street. Those interested should make an appointment at signupgenius.com/go/10c0d4daea628a5f4c43-first. Tennessee is now vaccinating people 16 and older with high-risk health conditions.
