CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Austin Peay State University will host a special presentation, titled ‘The Dangers of Social Media,’ on Monday, October 7, in the Clement Auditorium from 5-7 p.m.
Guests at the representatives of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Montgomery County District Attorney Office, and Level 10 Technology.
The advancement of information technology and social media, while providing many benefits, has created new avenues for those with malicious intent. Topics to be discussed at the presentation include such things as social media apps and ratings, the types of human trafficking, online predators, monitoring software and how to keep children safe online.
Due to the content of discussion at this event, children under the age of 18 will not be permitted to attend.
