CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (ESPN CLARKSVILLE) – Austin Peay State University Athletics will be hosting a NCAA Tournament Selection Show Watch Party to celebrate the Governors women’s tennis team’s upcoming appearance in the NCAA Tennis Team Championship, 5:30 p.m., at the Blackhorse Pub and Brewery.

The event will precede the weekly coaches’ show, “Inside Austin Peay”, with Governors head coach Ross Brown and All-Ohio Valley Conference performer Fabienne Schmidt scheduled to make appearances on the show.

The Govs won their first OVC Tournament title since 2010, Saturday, becoming the first team in program history to claim the regular season and tournament titles. In addition, the Govs, with their 22-0 record, are the lone unbeaten NCAA Division I women’s tennis program.

Brown was named OVC Coach of the Year leading up to the tournament victory, his second career Coach of the Year honor and his first as the women’s coach. The Govs also had five All-OVC performers, with Claudia and Lidia Yanes Garcia both earning First-Team All-OVC accolades and Schmidt, Tatiana Lopez, and Helena Kuppig each being named Second-Team All-OVC.
