CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Athletic department of Austin Peay has recently unveiled The Monocle Society. The Monocle Society will serve as the official annual fundraising arm for APSU athletics. The Monocle Society is not a replacement to the Governors Club.

The Monocle Society, using the monocle from the governor logo, represents the singular purpose in the society to help provide the best experience for the 350 Governor student-athletes.

The NCAA is constantly changing and evolving, which means costs are continuing to rise. The Monocle Society is hoping to raise financial resources to enhance the experience of the student-athletes. Members of the Monocle Society will have a unique opportunity to make a direct impact on the 16 sports in which Austin Peay competes.

The supporters of the monocle society will also be provided benefits inside athletics such as priority purchase of season tickets, the VIPeay Endzone Experience, as well as preferred parking. The Monocle Society is not replacing the Governors Club, but it will give the Governors Club the ability to stand alone with the Athletic Department and its fundraising efforts.

The Athletic Department of Austin Peay is looking forward to an exciting year of athletics, as they hope to prove themselves as the premier athletic department of the Ohio Valley Conference. For more information on the Monocle Society, visit www.letsgopeay.com, or call 931-221-PEAY.
