CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Appleton Harley-Davidson recognized a major milestone on Saturday as they celebrated 70 years as a business serving customers in Clarksville. The motorcycle dealership opened in 1952, and they are still family owned and operated and serving the community.

Hundreds of people attended the party which featured live music, giveaways, food trucks, and specials on motorcycle apparel and gear. The highlight of the evening was a drawing for a 2022 Harley-Davidson Street Bob motorcycle.

The lucky winner of the motorcycle was Bill Allen from Dickson. “It’s a really beautiful bike,” Allen said. “I had a feeling and I wanted to win, but I didn’t expect it to happen. You never expect them to pull your name out of the hat.”

Appleton’s owner Tia Suiter thanked the dealership’s employees and the community for their support.

“The greatest people work underneath this roof right here to serve everybody, so know that when you come here, we are the last independent dealer in the state of Tennessee, and maybe in the Southeast district. With that comes a lot of hard work. Our employees go far and beyond to make you happy and to serve you, and it’s a privilege to serve each and every one of you and I want to thank each and every one of you,” Suiter said.

Another highlight of the Appleton’s celebration was when Tyler Ramos, a Clarksville Fire Rescue firefighter, was surprised with a new Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special bike for his 30th birthday from his wife, Jordan.
