Update, 8:05 a.m.: The fire was discovered by an 11-year-old boy who was in his bedroom and smelled smoke, according to Clarksville Fire Rescue Assistant Chief Michael Rios.
The boy walked into the living room, and the couch was on fire. He immediately exited the apartment, and a neighbor called 911. The neighbors helped evacuate the building, and no injuries were reported.
