CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Clarksville Fire Rescue responded to an apartment fire Thursday at 125 Coyote Court. No one was inside at the time of the blaze but the apartment suffered extensive damage.
Fire Marshal Ricky Cumberland said a passerby who was walking his dog reported the fire around 10:58 a.m. saw flames coming out of the apartment’s window.
Cumberland says the fire didn’t start in the kitchen and wasn’t a heater fire. “It actually was in the living room and does appear to be an accident. The only heat or source of ignition we have at this point is possibly a laptop that was plugged in and tucked in under a sofa,” said Cumberland.
