CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Montgomery County Antique Tractor and Engine Club will be hosting a Tractor Ride Saturday, May 18, at the Dotsonville Community Center.
The 13-mile ride will begin at 11 a.m. and end around 1 p.m. There will be a picnic after the ride with hot dogs, hamburgers, a gift basket giveaway, and live country music from Buck Francis.
Participants can ride along from a wagon and optionally donate to their driver. All donations benefit Camp Rainbow, a nonprofit that provides free camp experiences to children affected by childhood cancer and other diseases.
Secretary of the club Jerry Verkler said the club is all about supporting the community, one of the reasons they selected a charity with a local reach.
“We’re a bunch of hobbyists that enjoy collecting old tractors, engines, machinery, and farming heritage,” said Verkler. “What better to do with the money you raise than give it to charity?”
The ride will start and end at 3189 Dotsonville Road, with parking at Central Chapel Church. The ride length is approximately 13 miles.
