CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville Gas & Water’s Annual Drinking Water Quality Report confirms the City’s water treatment plant continues to deliver safe and reliable drinking water that exceeds federal and state standards, according to a press release issued by the city this week.
The report, also known as the “Consumer Confidence Report,” allows water consumers to see the results achieved by the Clarksville water system from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2017, in its efforts to monitor water quality and to prevent health risks.
“The dedicated and professional staff at the water treatment plant work around-the-clock performing extensive water quality tests to provide safe drinking water to the citizens of Clarksville,” Mayor Kim McMillan said. “I encourage everyone to read the report, which shows the excellent quality of the City of Clarksville’s drinking water. Of course, good water is a necessary asset for a thriving, growing municipality.”
The report was mailed to customers in their May billing statement, and e-billing customers were notified on their May e-bill notice.
“The City of Clarksville is proud to report that (the City’s) drinking water meets or exceeds all federal and state drinking water standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency,” the report says.
