CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- (CLARKSVILLENOW) Clarksville Running Club will host its annual Pass the Turkey 5k on Thanksgiving Day, November 22.

This fun run is a fundraising event for Manna Café Ministries. Donations of canned goods, gently used coats, sweaters, gloves, and winter hats will also be collected the morning of the 5k. All monetary, food, and clothing donations will go to Manna Café.

The registration for the 5K will begin at 7 a.m. and the race will be held at Governor’s Square Mall. Registration is $5 for 12 and up and only cash will be accepted.

The race will start at 8 a.m. and there will be free t-shirts for the first 150 participants.

This 5K is a noncompetitive fun run or walk. There will be no bibs or timing chips. Jogging strollers and dogs on leashes are welcomed.

Manna Café Ministries is a faith-based organization devoted to meeting the needs of homeless and low-income families in Montgomery County. Each week, Manna Café provides hot meals and food boxes to over 1,500 local citizens, serving four meals a week. All funds raised will remain local and assist and feed Clarksvillians in need.
