CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – On Dec. 17, 2020, various nonprofit organizations donated toys to Byrns Darden Elementary School for the Annie Moore Toy Drive.
The toy drive started with over 200 toys in 2011. On their 10th anniversary, the donations totaled 1,605 toys, including cold-weather clothing. The principal of Byrns Darden Elementary School, Nabraunda Jackson, and Shauna Snyder organized the display and said they were overwhelmed with the huge donation.
Donations were received from New Jerusalem 5 Fold Ministries (NJ5FM), Ladies of WIN, Regional Network Enterprise Center (RNEC), and Logistics Readiness Center (LRC), both of Ft. Campbell, according to a news release.
Martha Smith, the chairperson of the toy drive, said the supporters went the extra mile in bringing gifts this year. Masonic contributors were Hella Court, Warfield Lodge, TN York Rite PHA, St. Mary’s OES, and Sunbeam Chapter.
