The 22.73 acres has three property owners, including the Industrial Development Board, Newell-Berg Holdings and 3NB. The IDB owns the majority of the land with three properties compiling to make up a total of 19.31 acres.

Meanwhile, Newell-Berg Holdings owns 2.32 acres where they operate two fast food locations: Taco Johns and Burger King. 3NB owns 1.1 acres and operates a Popeye’s on site.

When asked about the proposed annexation, the IDB sent Clarksville Now a statement saying, “Annexation of this 20-acre parcel in the South Industrial Park will ensure municipal services and public safety are available through the city, as well as support proposed commercial development including grocery, pharmacy, health clinic services to our industry partners, their employees, and the growing community nearby.”

The City Council will vote on the plan of service and annexation on Thursday, Nov. 2.
