Anne A. Provo, 89, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2015, at her residence.
Anne was born on July 8, 1926, in Montgomery County, TN to the late Irvin Dotson Abernathy and Annie Smith Abernathy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Provo; companion, Robert McCue; two infant children; three brothers, William Abernathy, Dale Abernathy, and Garland Abernathy; and two sisters, Sara Smith and Jo Bolduc.
Memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel, with Rev. Laurie Hynson officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2015, from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Anne was a retired Assistant to the Headmaster and Librarian at Clarksville, Academy. She was a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Daughters of the American Revolution, Warioto Book Club, several Bridge Clubs, and lifetime member of Madison Street United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Rachel Group. She loved to travel and be with family.
Anne is survived by her daughter, Sally (Steve) Castleman of Clarksville, TN and three grandchildren, Luke (Connie) Castleman, John Castleman, and Noah Castleman.
