Anita Kay Beeman, age 61, of Clarksville, died Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at her home. She was born in Mt. Vernon, OH, to the late Maurice Edison Smith and Lillian Grace Hickerson Smith. Anita was also preceded in death by her son, Jason Merritt Beeman.

Mrs. Beeman was a member of the Church of Christ at Trenton Crossing, where she attended the Wednesday Ladies’ Bible Class. She was a 1st Grade Bible School teacher for over 17 years, as well as a World Bible School teacher.

Funeral Service will be held at noon Monday, February 10 at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Bro. Geoffrey Sikes, Bro. Tom Payne, and Bro. Russell Howard officiating. Interment will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery – West, in Hopkinsville, KY. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday, February 9, and from 10:00 AM until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Lanier, Guy Beeman, Jr., Randy Smith, Doug Smith, John Mimms, and Clayton Olive.

Anita is survived by her husband, Guy Beeman, Sr.; son, Guy Beeman, Jr., of Fort Lauderdale, FL; daughter, Carrie (Christopher) Lanier, of Clarksville; two brothers, Randy Smith, of Mt. Vernon, OH, and Douglas Smith, of Howard, OH; sister, Nancy Smith, of Mt. Vernon, OH; and granddaughter, Emily Marie Lanier.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the World Bible School or Ramp Ministry, in care of the Church of Christ at Trenton Crossing, 524 College Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.
