Animal Control officers responded to a tip regarding the whereabouts of the suspects who dumped five puppies on the side of the road at Floyd Circle and Lewis Atkins Rd last month. Upon investigation, the officers photographed evidence and left a notice for the suspected owners. During the investigation the suspected owners admitted they did own the puppies, but alleged they gave the puppies to an individual at the country store, including the deceased puppy “to bury.” Warrants for felony animal cruelty will be processed this week for the individuals who dumped the puppies. The puppies are still in proactive custody and are doing very well!
